Planning the Fall Vegetable Garden

 

Experienced gardeners know that a great fall garden starts with preparation and effort now. Learn what varieties to plant and when, how to prepare the soil, sprout the right seeds, and transplant your tomatoes and other crops.

Dr. Bob Randall has advised over 150 community garden projects since 1987. He is the author of Year Round Vegetables, Fruits and Flowers for Metro-Houston.

Diana Liga is a horticulturist who worked with community vegetable gardens as Gardens & Horticulture Coordinator for Urban Harvest.

Gary Edmondson is Director of Education at Urban Harvest.
