Vendor of the Week : Premier Sharpening

Steve Borne, our resident knife sharpener at Eastside is making his debut at the Highland Village market. Steve charges by the inch on the blade on the knife. Please wrap your knives in kitchen towels and have them in a bag. Remember that Steve also sharpens lawnmower blades, swords, scissors, hair shears, pruning shears, and just about anything you can imagine that you would like sharpened. Having a knife sharpener that knows the difference between the bevel on a German knife and a Japanese knife makes all the difference when you hand over your trusted collection.

Vendor of the Week : Animal Farm

The Vanwoerdons are a certified organic vendor located in Cat Spring, Texas. They offer a beautiful variety of seasonal heirloom fruits and vegetables. This time of year you will find them with rainbow carrots, salad mixes, kale, collards, mushrooms and radishes. Animal Farm also sells fresh cut flowers when they are in season. At Discovery Green you will find Raffi working behind their booth. Be sure and ask him about how fresh their harvest is! Usually they pick the night before because they have sold out at our Saturday market on Eastside. See for yourself what all the local chefs and foodies have been raving about.
