Description
This group of hardworking volunteers oversees the Bayou City Farmers Market. They plan and run events at the market such as the Tomato Fest in June and the Citrus Fest in December. Some volunteers help with publicity for the market. Some volunteers also help at the market on Saturday monrings, including helping with set-up, cleanup, and greeting customers. Volunteers also work with the staff market manager to manage the market and set policies.
Skills & Experience Needed
We're looking for skilled folks with a love of farmers markets who are looking for a semi-regular volunteer opportunity. If you haven't visited the Bayou City Farmers Market before, please come out and have a look before you apply here. We can use a variety of talent - perhaps you have event planning experience and can help with our events, or you're a carpenter and can help repair or make our signage. Marketing folks could help with publicity. Let us know how you'd like to help!
