The Permaculture Guild of Houston consists of Permaculture Design Certificate holders who meet frequently to plan class logistics and the needs of the group as a whole. This may include long-term goals for the Guild and projects.

The mission of the Guild is to support both the teaching of permaculture classes and community involvement in permaculture projects. Ultimately, all who graduate as Permaculture Design Certificate holders will want to spread their ideas to others by teaching and marketing permaculture classes and ideas, by practicing permaculture design, and by living life with a lighter ecological footprint .
