The Environmental Art Garden and Nature Center was initiated at Elrod Elementary in April 2003. The garden is maintained by students, teachers and parents. Parents help with the garden by providing plants and vegetables for growing as well as participating in planting. The garden is part of an after-school program that the entire student body participates in; a different group of students is allowed to garden each day.
