Horn Academy is a HISD magnet school in Bellaire, with special programs in art, communications, computers, life sports, and science. Their school garden was established in 1999 and has grown to include nine raised beds, a small pond with a waterfall, and a wildscape with a bog. Students plant vegetables and flowers each fall and spring as part of their lessons. Each bed is the responsibility of one teacher, and the pond and wildscape are used by everyone in the school.
