Billabong Fresh Flower Farm was established in 2003 when a statement was made that, “if you’re going to play in the dirt, grow something to sell.”  Vegetables and herbs were considered but fresh cut flowers won out.  Kim Haven, a transplanted Australian from Perth, owns and operates the small cut flower farm located in Waller County, 65 miles from downtown Houston.

Kim started supplying florists with unique varieties of hard to find and hard to transport annual, perennial and bulb field cuts for their creative use.  She is now offering her flowers to Farmer’s Market customers because as a flower grower they make her happy and she wants to spread some of that happiness around as flowers make people “feel good”.  Billabong Fresh Flower Farm grows year round, and seasonal flower availability is from March through November at our Bayou City Farmers Market and at the Houston Farmers Market on Tuesdays.
