Paula Balbontin grew up on a farm in Chile. She is passionate about using our creative human capacity, affordable technologies, and innovative education models to build sustainable solutions for growing healthy food in Houston.
Paula received her Masters in International Agricultural Development at UC Davis and worked for the Chilean Government under the Digital Government Division (DGD) collecting and reporting on performance data and learning what it takes to implement digital transformation strategies.
When she first moved to Houston, and began looking for ways to become involved with urban agriculture here, Paula attended a Dig It Day with Urban Harvest and immediately knew this is where she wanted to plant her roots.
