IN-PERSON AT THE TREES FOR HOUSTON BAUER EDUCATION CENTER
1911 WEST 34TH STREET, HOUSTON, TEXAS 77018
If you have ever wanted to start, maintain, or grow a community garden, this class is for you. Long-time community garden leader Terry Garner will cover topics such as organizing people, determining location, planting decisions, materials, and funding.
Terry Garner is the garden coordinator at the Palm Center located in Southeast Houston near the 3rd Ward. He taught gardening to the center's clients at 12 multi-service community gardens. He is a longtime volunteer and leader of the Alabama Community Gardens in the 3rd Ward.
