Please join Scott Howard, Susan Kelley, and Randall Mosman as they lead us through the design process of creating your Urban Garden. They will discuss the most important factors that need to be considered as well as as talk about the layout and materials needed.
Randall Mosman is Urban Harvest's Community Gardens Manager and has been growing rare fruits on the Gulf Coast and in the Houston area for 20 years. He has a background in the arts which has taken him around the world where he has become familiar with a number of fruits not easily found in this region.
Susan Kelley is the coordinator of St. Andrew's Garden in the Heights. She started learning to grow roses after joining the Houston Rose Society, then ventured into learning to grow a vegetable garden. Susan took her first class at Urban Harvest 20 years ago and is now in charge of the St. Andrew's Church Garden which grows vegetables for Food Pantries.
Scott Howard is a staple in the Houston sustainable agricultural community. A founding member of Urban Harvest, he has worked tirelessly to promote healthy, local produce. His chemical-free, sustainable urban garden grows a variety of vegetables and fruits. For many years, Scott donated all of his produce to organizations that help needy families.
Registration will close 24 hours before classes Monday-Saturday and 48 hours before Sunday classes.
