Installing micro-irrigation is one of the best ways to manage your time & resources. Well-designed and installed systems keep each plant watered properly with less waste. You can spend more of your time gardening and harvesting and less of your time watering. This class will teach you everything you need to design, install, and manage a low-input, high-performance, automated watering system for your production gardens.
Angela Chandler is a lifelong gardener and enjoys sharing her knowledge and passion with others. She and her husband tend a 1/2-acre micro-homestead, growing vegetables, fruits, herbs, and bee-friendly plants. Angela is currently a member of the Garden Writers Association, the California Rare Fruit Growers Association, and the Louisiana Society of Horticultural Research, as well as being a retired Texas Master Gardener. She has written featured articles in gardening magazines, appeared as a guest on both TV & Radio shows, spoken around the country at various events, and currently teaches a monthly class for the Urban Harvest/Houston Museum of Natural Science. Her website, The Garden Academy, provides its readers with a variety of gardening information geared specifically towards Gulf Coast gardens.
Registration will close 24 hours before classes Monday-Saturday and 48 hours before Sunday classes.
