Join Urban Harvest and artist Rhonda Radford Adams in this 2-part series as we create a beautiful mosaic garden sign for Alabama Gardens. Learning from the expert, students will learn the craft of designing and creating a beautiful mosaic art piece. Limited space is available. Ages 14 and up *CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.*

PRESENTER:

Rhonda Radford Adams is a native Houstonian and life-trained artist whose body of work is a unique blend of mixed media, including textiles, ceramics, and paints. Her art is a powerful mantra that reflects her passion and style for embracing creativity, healing, and inspiration. Rhonda's unique art pieces act as visual mantras, designed to stimulate the mind, body, and spirit. She firmly believes that color and creativity can be used to heal ourselves and the world around us, and she is dedicated to spreading this message through her art, Rhonda's art is carefully crafted to bring a sense of peace and tranquility to the viewer, promoting their mental and emotional wellbeing. Her art pieces have been published in public and private collections nationally and internationally. Rhonda has also served as the director for the Art Angels Healing Arts Program, working extensively with community organizations, hospitals, and schools to provide social wellness through the arts with the young and young at heart.

Rhonda has created a children's health education program, entitled "The Hot S.P.I.T. Chronicles," merging her nack for storytelling with her enthusiasm for dental health education. She has been recognized as one of Houston's 25 Most Influential Women in 2000, received The Sunstar Butler Award in 2008, and was named Artist of the Year for the Texas Children's Making a Mark Exhibit in 2001. Registration will close 24 hours prior to classes Monday - Saturday and 48 hours before all Sunday classes.
