Growing your own food is rewarding in many ways - a healthy family activity, fresh air and exercise, as well as better food quality and lower food costs. This introductory class will teach you to grow vegetables organically in Houston, amidst all of its climate challenges. You will learn you will learn how to select the site, build the beds, plant, care for & maintain a vegetable garden.
Angela Chandler is a life-long hobby gardener. Angela holds Specialist Certifications in Plant Propagation, Entomology, Rainwater Harvesting, and Greenhouse Management. She teaches Urban Harvest monthly classes in varying subjects from Basic Organic Gardening, Basic Fruit Tree Care to Low Volume Irrigation and Bokashi Composting.
Zoom class invitation and presentation links will be emailed to you a couple of days before the class date. There are no refunds or substitutions if you cannot attend a live class. Class recordings will be sent out after the class only as available.
