COMMUNITY PARTNER SITE:

Located near 4466 Billy St, 77020, The Japhet Transition Community (previously the Japhet Subdivision) has a rich history dating back to 1891 – and its modern start began in 1986 with Jim Ohmart and Eileen Hatcher. The couple began purchasing, remodeling and renting out 11 of the homes that were located in the neighborhood. It is located 3 miles from the Harris County Court House, in the 5th Ward area of Houston, just north of the Buffalo Bayou. Japhet Creek runs through the community.

The Japhet Community includes a community classroom for shared learning that has been used previously for Permaculture classes and modules by Urban Harvest and Montessori schools.

If you cannot attend the class as scheduled, there are no refunds or substitutions.

Registration will close 24 hours prior to most classes and 48 hours before all Sunday classes.

(At registration you will receive two emails, one is a receipt and the other will be sent a few days prior to the class with event details that include Zoom link or contact information or parking and contact info. Contact education@urbanharvest.org for questions.)
