THIRD WARD COMMUNTY GARDENS TOUR

Mobile Market at Project Row Houses (parking lot – Trinity UMC) 

The Third Ward hosts several community gardens that address food insecurity and provide organic gardening education to the community. Learn more about these gardens, the local food system, and ways you can engage with the local food movement. This event will highlight Third Ward roots in Food Access through community, Urban Harvest’s Mobile Farmers Market, intergenerational gardening and diverse community gardens. Project Row Houses will provide a brief introduction to their work and how the Mobile Market is connected to the community they serve.  

Participants will visit the oldest Community Garden in Third Ward, Alabama Gardens, Blackshear Elementary School, and Riverside United Methodist Church. 

If you cannot attend the class as scheduled, there are no refunds or substitutions. 

Registration will close 24 hours prior to most classes and 48 hours before all Sunday classes.
